April 2016 Newsletter
April is here! For some this means upcoming trips to ideal places to soak up all the sun humanly possible, for others this means escaping the impending heat for cooler climates. Wherever you may be travelling, and whatever you need to bring, we can help show you how to pack as light as possible! This coming Tuesday, we have a Packing Light Clinic (April 5th) at 7pm. Here we can give you tips and answer any questions you may have! Additionally, this month we’ll be hosting an Osprey Meet and Greet Event, Tuesday, April 28th, from 3-7pm. Are you looking for a new piece of luggage? Maybe your current suitcase is becoming a little travel weary, or you simply need more suitcases in your travel-centered life. For a few hours, an Osprey representative will be visiting us in the store to answer questions about the Osprey line of Ozone products over wine and snacks. You can look forward to deals and gifts alongside any purchases you make as well. Hope to see you April 28th!
**All shows begin at 7:00 PM, are held in the store and are FREE

Products of the Month - BugsAway® Apparel
The news lately has been laced with reports of a few mosquito born viruses popping up, such as the Zika virus. The disease spread outwards and upwards from Brazil quickly enough to cause the World Health Organization (WHO) to declare it as a public health emergency. With this in mind, for those of you travelling to areas where there have been reports, you may want to consider the BugsAway® clothing we carry, which is infused with Permethrin, shown to be highly effective in repelling several species of mosquitoes, ticks, and more. This means it also repels insects that could potentially carry Malaria, Lyme disease, West Nile virus, and Dengue fever. Changes in Latitude carries BugsAway® jackets, shirts, convertible pants, hats, bandannas, socks, and nets; anything and everything to keep yourself covered should your travels take you in those parts of the world. The garments are odorless and good for up to 75 washes. You can keep up to date with the latest Zika news at http://www.cdc.gov/zika/. Safety first!
Packing Tip of the Month
Ever have problems with wrinkly clothing when you travel? Many of us do try to take wrinkle resistant clothing, but not all garments have this handy property. Like the nice top you really probably shouldn’t have brought, but you did because you knew it would look so good on you in the vacation photos later. Our recommended solution: bring a little spray bottle and fill it with water as you go! With a few little spritzes directed at the problem spots, you can throw the clothing on afterward and let your body heat work with the moisture to solve your wrinkle problem. Another tip: hang your clothes in the bathroom while you take a steamy shower and this can work too! If you’re worried about an item of clothing causing wrinkle woes, you can always test these methods on it before you leave, so you know before you go if your garment can be tamed.

Hint: At the right times of the year, the view of this city is crowded with many species of birds, and beautiful specimens of dragonflies and butterflies all year round, as the site is dedicated to eco-tourism. The city itself features many of these tall buildings, spread across the horizon. Before the buildings were there, the land was home to mostly fish ponds and fishermen. Now, the area is sometimes branded ‘The Sorrowful City’ by some of the locals.
Last Month’s Answer & Winner: The March photo was of La Paz, Bolivia. Congratulations to Mark Cole for winning the Changes in Latitude Gift Certificate!
