Product of the Month

Briggs & Riley Explore Suitcases

Briggs & Riley have come out with a color in the BRX series (blue – evoking the deepest azures of the Baltic Sea!) – And they are wonderful. These pieces were designed with the goal to be as light as possible, a trait valued in the luggage of those travelling locally or globally, frequently or on that once-in-a-lifetime trip, and for business or leisure. Combined with an ergonomic handle grip, durable wheels, compression straps, expanders, and pockets for on-the-go organization, Briggs & Riley have definitely done their best to come up with the perfect bag. We have both their international-sized carry on (20”) and domestic-sized carry on (22”) as well as their check-in version (26”). Come in and see why we love these suitcases for yourself. They’re stylish and well made, so we think you’re going to love them too.

Travel Tip of the Month

We have all suffered the effects of jet lag at some point (especially post vacation!), and most of the time we simply push through it. But a tip we’ve heard over and over again, and indeed one that seems to work well, it to fight the problem with food. Specifically, your meal times. We’ve always heard breakfast is the most important time of the day, but now it is doubly so; fasting for a period of around 16 hours before and then eating breakfast at the time you want to be waking up every day, you can force your ‘circadian’ rhythms to update to your new schedule. BBC did an interesting article on the topic here http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/7414437.stm. Of course, for those serious cases, we also carry No-Jet-Lag, a homeopathic product that has worked wonders for most, so you could try that too. We use it!

Hint:  Hand work of an ancient civilization, this stature was carved from volcanic ash that once melted together. And while this area is known for its statue heads, all these heads actually have bodies too! They are simply buried.

Last Month’s Answer & Winner:  The July photo was of the Morning Glory Pool, Yellowstone National Park. We had a lot of correct answers this month, so thanks to all who participated! The randomly selected winner this month is Lynn J. Congratulations, Lynn, for winning the Changes in Latitude Gift Certificate!
