Bring Us Your Tired, Your Worn, Your Wretched Old Luggage…
Clean out your closet! Bring in your old luggage! And upgrade
to something new! That’s right, it’s time for our annual luggage drive. This year, Changes In Latitude is
teaming up with Eagle Creek all during the month of March to collect any wheeled luggage that you no longer need or
want. All bags collected will be donated to the Boulder County
Safehouse and the Boulder Homeless Shelter to assist them with the important, and much needed services that they
provide. (Luggage donations are also tax deductible.) As a thank you, at the time of your luggage donation,
you will receive $25 off the purchase of any new Eagle Creek wheeled luggage!

Call Waiting In “Cell Phone Lots”
If you have flown in or out of a major airport over the last few months,
you may have noticed new signs for “cell phone lots”. Those aren’t parking lots used for your cell phone while
you are away. They’re a new idea to ease traffic, reduce fender benders, decrease pollution, and improve airport
security at congested, arriving passenger pick-up areas.
Instead of parking illegally or repeatedly looping around past the passenger pickup areas hoping to catch sight of an
arriving friend or family member, people can now park and wait in free “cell phone lots” located no more than a few
minutes drive to terminal arrival doors. When the guest arrives, they simply make a quick call to the driver’s
cell phone and their ride is at the arrival doors right away. No more wandering the terminal trying to find the
people you are supposed to meet.
Since most airports no longer allow people without tickets to go to the gate areas, drivers can just as easily wait in
these lots at no cost instead of paying to park (or for a parking ticket) and waiting inside the terminal. Most
require the drivers to stay with their cars and limit waits to 30 minutes. Many limousine services are starting
to take advantage of these lots. Airports really like the cell phone lots which benefit everyone, so you can
expect more and more airports to implement them.

Just For Fun
As the passengers settled in for their flight, a flight attendant announced, "We'd
like you folks to welcome our new co-pilot. He'll be performing his first commercial landing today, so be sure to
give him a big round of applause when we come to a stop." The plane made an extremely bumpy landing, bouncing hard
several times before taxiing to a stop. Still, the passengers applauded. Then the attendant's voice came over
the intercom, "Thanks for flying with us. And don't forget to let our co-pilot know which landing you liked best."
